Humble Beginnings
Our youngest son's efforts in promoting the company reminds us of when our oldest son was around this age. When our oldest was two years old we found him in the corner eating a cherry Chapstick. Back then, as new parents, we immediately began looking for the ingredients that weren't listed only the poison control number. We discovered that the majority of those lip balms are petroleum based. After calling a family member who’s in a pediatric practice she told us, 'that he more than likely be fine.' Toddlers get into everything! This is what motivated us to take some of the surplus wax we harvested from our hives and made our own lip balm. Something safe and of an edible quality. One that we would not worry about our toddler getting into. The realization that, even if we aren't eating it like a toddler, we're still eating it all day little by little was profound to us and began this humble journey we're on today.
